Yes! Keep it up

As an enthusiastic cyclist in Kyoto, it was great to read your blog and have the experience contextualised. Yeah, there is a problem with bike space in this city, and there bloody well shouldn't be! It does seem hypocritical and it does seem needless and downright mean. I tend to just shake my head, but I'm glad that people like you, Al, are doing more....keep it up!
Hey I am a cyclist here as well. I do agree with you. About parking your bicycles. After a while you get clever and know where to park. Weekends and evenings are usually not a problem. Keep away from too many illegaly parked bikes. Just use somebody else's parking lot. Pachinko's work pretty good for me. The unemployment office for parking next to kyoto station. etc. etc.

Merci pour est un bon blogger.
Hi there. I'm still here in Kyoto monitoring the situation.
over 110 taxis outside both the front and back of Kyoto station with engines running all day long and the City Hall is still confiscating bicycles parked anywhere in the city.
What influence the Taxi Driving Mafiaoso having on Local Government policy?
